  This raw diamond is well hidden in Sheffield, AL. and if you like sushi, you'll be pleasantly surprised! They recently updated the exterior and the sign at the road really helps not to miss out this fantastic Japanese cuisine.
  The sushi menu is fabulous, with reasonable prices and lot of photos of specialty rolls. There is also a lunch and dinner menu with steak, shrimp and chicken dishes. Full service with helpful and friendly staff, a sushi bar and limited available seating. However, the owner is planning on updating and extending the dining area in 2017, including hibachi grill.
  The sushi was very tasty and fresh, presentation is fabulous and the yakutori (appetizer) just perfect.
  
  Even though this area is not known for good sushi restaurants, this one is absolutely outstanding and worth every penny. Sushi is not my favorite food, but you definitely will taste the pride and passion that the owners put in their food and service.

  Ichiban is more than just a restaurant. The owner treats every customer as family. His high standards ensure excellent service and the sushi they prepare is pure art with taste to match. You won't be disappointed.
